Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care released its “Veteran Guide to Health, Home and Honors” on Saturday, November 4 at its 2017 Chicagoland Veterans Expo.

Chicago’s Own Young Marines performed the Flag Detail during the expo.

The expo, which was held at Presence Resurrection Medical Center, was attended by about 30 organizations as well as veterans from throughout Chicagoland. The organizations included presenting sponsor Dignity Memorial, Jesse Hines VA Hospital, Military Outreach USA, TLS Veterans, Freedom Farm for Vets, and many more.

Bill Glover is a Navy veteran who attended the expo to learn more about his benefits. He received a free flu shot from Lisa Brown, Jesse Brown Medical Center’s nursing outreach coordinator.

The guide book’s author, Katie Curran Kirby, was interviewed about the book and Rainbow’s dedication to serving veteran populations on two radio talk shows.

Katie Curran Kirby appeared on The Valley WVLI 92.7 FM.
