Dr. Fetzer has been with Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care since 2013 as Palliative Care Medical Director and Associate Medical Director. Dr. Fetzer oversees the operations of nine health system hospital palliative care teams. She is responsible for the acute care service line’s strategic planning, staffing, and business development.
Before joining Rainbow, Dr. Fetzer was the Emergency Medicine Attending Physician at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge where she was recognized with two awards for Service Excellence. Prior to that, Dr. Fetzer was a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellow at Northwestern Memorial Hospital earning two “Excellence in Teaching” awards from the Feinberg School of Medicine. At University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Fetzer was the Chief Resident of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Fetzer has also presented extensively nationally and internationally on a variety of subjects including palliative care teams, emergency medicine, clinical ethics and the palliative care continuum.
